Chinese Association of Higher Education(CAHE),founded on May 30,1983,belongs to the Chinese Ministry of Education and is the unique professional association with colleges and universities as its professional members.The president of CAHE is Mr.Zhou Yuanqing ,the former Minister of Chinese Ministry of Education.CAHE now has 217 directors and 64 standing directors.The council members of CAHE include directors of education administrative departments,directors of universities and coll- eges,academicians of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,well-known professors, experts and scholars in field of higher education in China.

CAHE now has 107 institutional members including 28 provincial higher education associations,15 branch associations,and 56 sub-associations in different professional field.CAHE has already covered almost all the universities,colleges,professional fields and managerial fields all over the country. There are several departments in CAHE’s operating council, such as Science Commission that is in charge of supervision and consulting,Secretariat which is in charge of administration,Science Department,Material Supply Center,Training Center,Information Research Center,Chinese higher education reform network(www.hie.edu.cn) etc.“China Higher Education Research”is the Journal affiliated to CAHE.
